By creating an account or using BrainIgn, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and by our Privacy Policy. Acceptance is required to use the platform and is all or nothing. We ask you to accept both documents when you sign up, including when you sign up with a third party login such as Google. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the service.
BrainIgn is an AI tutor for learners at any level. You can use it to:
To use BrainIgn, you must create an account with accurate and current information. You are responsible for:
You may hold one account. Creating additional accounts to collect free credits, restart a trial, evade a restriction, or otherwise take more than your plan allows is a breach of these terms, and we may ban every account involved. We link accounts by the devices and browser characteristics they share, and we keep a record of what linked them.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are between 13 and 17, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use BrainIgn, and that adult is responsible for the use of the account.
BrainIgn is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly allow them to create an account. In the United States, under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, a parent or guardian must consent before a child under 13 uses an online service. A parent or guardian may review the child's information, request changes or deletion, and close the account at any time by writing to parents@brainign.com.
You agree not to:
BrainIgn is for people. You may not drive your account with a script, a bot, a headless or instrumented browser, a scraper, or any other automated tool, and you may not resell or relay access to the platform through one. This includes automating the tutor, bulk downloading our content, and running load against the platform.
We detect automation automatically, and an account we detect it on is banned rather than throttled. The signals that triggered the decision are recorded and are available to the team that reviews your appeal.
Your account is yours alone. You may not share your login with anyone, sell or rent access to it, or use it to serve other people. Your plan is priced for one learner, and we treat a shared login as a breach of these terms.
You may not attempt to get around our security, our rate limits, or the usage limits of your plan. That includes editing data your browser stores in order to grant yourself credits or features you have not paid for, tampering with requests to the service, and probing the platform for ways to do either.
You may not submit content that is illegal, that harasses or threatens another person, or that violates the rights of others. This applies to everything you send through the platform, including group study rooms and anything you contribute to shared content.
BrainIgn is built to help you understand and master your material. To use it well:
BrainIgn offers a free plan and paid plans. Paid plans unlock more usage, deeper personalisation, and access to premium features. The current list of plans, prices, and what each one includes is available on the pricing page.
Plan prices are shown excluding tax. Where we are registered to collect a consumption tax such as VAT, it is calculated on the amount you actually pay after any discount, shown as a separate line before you confirm, and included in the total we charge. Your receipt shows the tax rate and amount that applied at the time of payment. Tax rates are set by law and can change; the rate in force on your payment date is the one that applies.
If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have the right to cancel a new paid plan within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason. To cancel, email support@brainign.com with the subject Cancellation Request. If you ask us to start the service during this period and then cancel, we may charge for the part of the service already provided.
You can ask another person to pay for your subscription by sending them a payment link. Anyone holding that link can pay it, so only share it with the person you asked. Links expire, and you can cancel one at any time from your billing page.
You can add money to a wallet on your account and spend it on the platform. The wallet is store credit, not a bank account. It earns no interest, and we are not a bank or a licensed money transmitter.
You may only pay with a card or account you are entitled to use. Paying with someone else's card, disputing a charge for a service you used rather than asking us for a refund, or abusing discounts and referral rewards is a breach of these terms, and we may ban the account and refuse future payments. If you think a charge is wrong, email support@brainign.com first and we will look into it.
All content produced by BrainIgn, including walkthroughs, generated quizzes, flashcards, study plans, and other tutoring outputs, is intellectual property licensed to you for personal, non commercial study only. You may not resell, redistribute, or use it as the basis of a competing service.
You retain ownership of any content you upload, including questions, photos, files, and notes. By uploading content, you grant BrainIgn a worldwide, non exclusive licence to process, store, and use that content to provide and improve the service. We do not use your private content to train third party AI models.
BrainIgn is provided on an as is and as available basis, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. AI generated content can contain mistakes. For high stakes decisions, including clinical, legal, or safety related work, please verify what you read with your textbooks, lecturers, or qualified professionals.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law. In particular, we do not exclude or limit our liability for:
Subject to the above, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, BrainIgn is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or savings. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold BrainIgn harmless from claims, losses, and expenses that arise from your misuse of the service or your breach of these terms. This does not apply to matters caused by our own negligence or breach.
Any signed-in student may apply to become a contributor. An application asks about your school and studies, why you want to contribute, and includes a photograph of you so that a reviewer can confirm a real person applied.
Everyone who applies is invited to take a short assessment. The invitation is not a decision about your application, and we do not describe it as one. The assessment is what your application is decided on, and a person reviews every one.
Part of the assessment asks you to upload study material such as past questions or lecture notes. Only upload material you are allowed to share. Much of this kind of material belongs to a lecturer, a school, or an examination body rather than to the student holding a copy, and uploading it without that right may infringe their copyright.
If your application is accepted, you receive a contributor invitation and accept the Contributor Terms before you can publish anything. If it is not accepted, we do not publish or otherwise use what you uploaded.
If you own material that appears on BrainIgn and you did not agree to it being here, tell us and we will act. Email copyright@brainign.com or use the report control on the content itself.
A complaint is most useful when it identifies the material precisely enough for us to find it, says what right you hold, gives us a way to reply to you, and states that you believe the use was not authorised. We do not require a particular form of words.
We remove reported material from view while we look at it, and we tell whoever uploaded it. If you believe your material was removed in error, reply to us and we will reconsider. An account that repeatedly uploads material it has no right to share loses the ability to upload, and may be closed.
You can connect a Telegram or Discord account so that your daily question, streak reminders and practice reach you where you already chat. Connecting is entirely optional and you start it, by generating a code here and sending it to our bot.
Those platforms set their own minimum ages, and we follow them: Telegram requires you to be at least 16, and Discord at least 13. Connecting is not available to accounts we can see are below those ages.
You can stop the messages at any time by sending /stop to the bot, or disconnect completely from your profile. Disconnecting removes the link and everything we stored about it. Adding our bot to a group is a decision for that group, and we limit the size of group it will serve.
A study group can turn on live audio so members can talk while they work. Joining is always your choice, your microphone is never opened without you pressing a button, and you can mute or leave at any moment.
We do not record voice rooms. The audio travels between the people in the call and is not stored by us. Treat a voice room as you would a study room in person: the people in it can hear you, and the same rules on our acceptable use apply to what you say there.
A host can open a live game that anyone can join with a PIN. Playing needs a BrainIgn account, so that the points you earn belong to you and everything said in front of the room can be traced to a person. You choose a display name when you join, and everyone in the game sees it.
If you host a game and share your screen somewhere, what you choose to show is your decision and your responsibility. Our games, questions and artwork are our own work, and the names of any other service belong to whoever owns them.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or use the service in a way that puts BrainIgn or other users at risk. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will give you notice. You may close your account at any time from your account settings.
When we restrict or ban an account we record the clause it was restricted under, the reason, and a short summary of the activity that led to the decision. That summary holds timestamps, the names of the actions taken on the account, and the network address and browser the account was used from. It does not hold the content of your lessons or conversations. We keep it so that an appeal can be reviewed against what actually happened rather than against memory.
Every ban tells you which clause it falls under and links to it. You may appeal from the banned screen or by writing to support@brainign.com, and you may ask us for the summary we hold about your own account. If we got it wrong we will lift the restriction.
If you have a concern, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. Write to legal@brainign.com with details of the issue and what you would like us to do, and we will respond within 30 days. If we cannot resolve the matter, you keep all rights to bring a claim, including in a small claims court where available. Nothing here requires you to give up a right to go to court that the law gives you.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Nigeria have jurisdiction over any dispute. This does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory rules of the country where you live. If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or a United States state with consumer protection laws, you keep the rights granted to you there, and any unfair or unconscionable term is not enforceable against you.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make a material change, we will update the date and version at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the platform or by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms. If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
